BiographyThe son of a museum curator and One Life to Live actor Stephen Macht, Gabriel Macht first brought notice to his acting talent when he appeared in 1980 dramedy Why Would I Lie? as a young boy in the foster care system who helps bring two people together. However, despite the critical praise he earned at the tender age of 8, he didn’t return to the business until over a decade later, landing guest appearances on Beverly Hills, 90210, Spin City, and Sex and the City in the first few years of his adult career. Macht did the occasional bit of television, including starring in 2000 NBC supernatural series The Others, but focused more on film and theater, with roles coming in Behind Enemy Lines, The Object of My Affection, and A Love Song for Bobby Long. (The Carnegie Mellon graduate’s most notable theater credit during this time was “Steve Martin’s Picasso at the Lapin Agile” at Promenade Theater Off Broadway and Theater on the Square in San Francisco, though he also appeared in productions of La Ronde, To Whom It May Concern, Turnaround, and What the Butler Saw.) Following well-received turns in The Good Shepherd and Love & Other Drugs, as well as the Yankees fan returned to television in 2011 with USA’s Suits, where he plays Harvey Specter, one of New York’s top corporate attorneys. Along with co-star Patrick J. Adams, who plays brilliant college dropout Mike Ross, he received a producer credit on the legal drama, which began airing its third season in the summer of 2013. | Basic InfoDate of Birth: Place of Birth: Maritial Status: Height: Weight: Sign: Estimated Networth: |

Quotes
“My father is an actor, and I used to go on set to visit him. I saw the stories he was telling and said: ‘That’s what I want to do.’ I was always in awe whenever I went to the movies or when I watched television.” – on his desire to become an actor
“For me, I think there’s a lot more room in cable television to tell broader stories. NBC and the networks, they’re all very mainstream, and they’re a little more conservative in how they approach storytelling.” – on what he likes about being at USA
“I don’t mind doing the green-screen stuff at all, and in fact it’s a lot like black-box theater, which I did plenty of in New York.” – on his theater background
